タダで日本語を学ぶ (learning Japanese for FREE)

昔、英語を学んでいるときには、「なんて難しい言葉なのだ!」と苦労したものでした。日本語を母国語とする私にとっては、英語の壁はとても厚いものでした。

While studying English years ago, I shouted "What a difficult Language it is !". For me who make Japanese a native language, the English wall was very thick.

今、日本語を学んでいる人を見ると、とても大変だなぁと思います。日本語の壁の厚さは、英語のそれの比ではないでしょう。

If those who are studying Japanese are seen now, I will think that it is very serious. The thickness of a Japanese wall is no English match for that.

加えて、日本では英語(エイゴ、横文字)が氾濫しています。SONY、Panasonicなど、企業名にアルファベットを使うのは普通だし、ネット、マック、セクハラなど、カタカナ語は生活に浸透しています(昔は「外来語」と呼んでいました)。

In addition, English (EIGO, Western language) has overflowed in Japan. SONY, Panasonic of using the alphabet for a company name, etc. are common.

Katakana words, such as a "NETTO"( as internet mean), "MAKKU"(as Macdonald orMac mean), and "SEKUHARA"(as sexual harassment mean), have permeated the life (it was called the "foreign word" a long time ago).

日本人にとっての「英語の壁」は、薄くて低いのかもしれませんね。

"The English wall" for a Japanese may be thin and low one.

日本語を学ぶ人へ。この「ひらがなぶろぐ」は「ひらがな」だけで書いてあります。面白くって分かりやすいのでオススメ。

To those who study Japanese This weblog "HIRAGANA-BLOG" is written in "hiragana." Since it is pleasantly intelligible, it is recommendation.

Dain-san,

It is very sympathetic of you to write your article in both Japanese and English for those who want to learn Japanese. As you mentioned about EIGO in Japanese KATAKANA, I have heard that it is very confusing for non-Japanese speakers to understand katakana-Eigo, like TE-I-SHATSU or BAIKU.

May I ask you if you wrote this for a particular person? Your English speaking friends?

You reminded me my article I wrote almost ten years ago.... Hopefully, you do not
Mind if I put the URL here.

It was a discussion to use Japanese on the very early stage of the net where I could not use Japanese properly.

hi hideki-san

This article is not for particular English friend. Just for me; training to write in English. But sometimes OTAKU-people from U.S. (or China) speaks to me, so writing in English MAY BE useful.

日本語部分は文字化けしまくっているようですが、英文部分だけでも楽しんでいらっしゃるようなので、それもまた良いかと。ブログが進化すると、「多言語対応ブログ」とかが出てくるかもしれませんね
